Cozy Car Caddy

When I saw this cozy car caddy here, I knew I was going to make it.... right now! We are getting ready to take a 10 hour drive to Montana for my Grandparents 60th anniversary party and I have been thinking about what to take for Kooper to play with on the way. I know it won't keep his interest the whole trip, but I know that he will love it. I didn't want to take a lot of time on this, so mine didn't turn out as cute as hers did, but considering it was midnight when I started, I am happy it turned out quickly. It only took about 30 min from start to finish. That includes trying to pick out the fabric and find my denim.

I think know Kooper will enjoy this and I have plans already when we get home to make a bigger one to use at home. This one only holds 6 cars. I won't make one that holds all bazillion of his cars, but I want to make one that has lots of "garages" and fun stuff like a police station, race track, gas station, town, mountains and more cars of course.

Here are the pictures, please note, these are from my cell phone and I had to use my flash as it is after midnight so the pictures aren't the greatest.

Here is a picture of the inside:

When you fold it in half

apparently, I missed a picture, there is another patch on the first fold that says "road hogs", and then this patch on the front flap that says "Hit the road" I didn't have any Velcro, so there isn't any way currently to hold it shut. I will probably either sew some Velcro on, or use some elastic. We will see!

This is the front. Kooper loves motorcycles

  2. That is way cute! Kooper will love it! Just a thought for your road trip. Some ladies were talking about trips with their little ones the other night and a good idea was they went to the dollar store and bought a bunch of cheap things and then wrapped them up. Then they gave them the option every 30 minutes or whatever you want to keep playing with what they have or open a new surprise. Just a thought! Good luck on your trip! Oh, and your stairs look great!

  3. Niki, that is such a great idea. I was thinking about getting him two or three new cars to play with on his new mat. That is a great idea to wrap them up....

Thanks for planting that seed in my head, my mind is racing with ideas :)
